John Fravel :: General Manager |

John Fravel has been a member of the staff at Fairfax National Golf Club since 2000, starting as one of the assistant golf professionals, then going on to Director of Golf, and becoming the General Manager in June of 2004. Before coming to Fairfax National GC Fravel was the First Assistant Golf Professional at Bristow Manor Golf Club. He was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Email John |

Shawn Whalin :: Superintendant |

Shawn comes to us from Western Pennsylvania where he has been pursuing his golf career at private, semi-private and public clubs since 1987. I am originally from a small town 50 miles east of Pittsburgh named Ligonier. Shawn's first golf job was working at Rolling Rock Club in 1987 and continued to Laurel Valley Golf Club where he became the 2nd Assistant Superintendent in 1999 after graduating from Penn State University in Golf Course Turfgrass Management. After Laurel Valley Shawn was hired at Williamsport Country Club as the Assistant Superintendent and completed a 6 month greens renovation project restoring the greens to the original Tillinghast design. Upon completion he moved to Honey Run Golf Course in York, PA and quickly acquired my first Superintendent position at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Quakertown, PA. For the past 10 years Shawn has been gaining great experience as the Superintendent at Hickory Height Golf Club in Pittsburgh. |

Ed Vergara :: Golf Shop Manager |

Ed Vergara joined the FNGC team in March 2005. He has been in the golf business for eight years, starting in the retail industry. Ed takes great pride in learning every new golf club and other products that enter the market. You will find him in the golf shop, stop by and say hi!

Sung Moon :: Head Golf Professional |

Sung Moon joined FNGC staff in March of 2008 as Assistant Professional and as of January of 2009 he has taken charge of the Head Golf Professional position. Before coming to FNGC, he obtained Associates Degree in Golf Business Management from San Diego Golf Academy. As golf professional and as one of the leaders at our facility, he is dedicated to providing outstanding personalized service for every guest. |

Michael Cuti :: Food and Beverage Manager / Golf Outings Manager |

Michael Cuti joined our team in March 2010 making him our newest member at FNGC. Michael recently received his Associates Degree from Northern Virginia Community College in Hospitality Management with a specialization in Food Management. As Food and Beverage Manager and Golf Outings Coordinator he is dedicated about making everyone's experience memorable. |
